Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how VantagePoint ("VantagePoint," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our pickleball league management platform at www.vantagepointpickleball.com and any related services (the "Service"). It also describes your choices, including how to stop receiving text messages.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information — name, email address, password, and profile photo.
- Player profile information — first and last name, email address, mobile phone number, date of birth, gender, nickname, skill level, and player notes.
- Ratings and league data — DUPR ID and ratings, UTPR/Elo/VPR ratings, match results, standings, and enrollment in leagues or sessions.
- Billing information — organization plan and payment details. Card data is collected and stored by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
Information we collect automatically
- Basic device and log data (browser type, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps).
- A local browser preference for your selected display theme. We do not use advertising trackers.
Information provided by league organizers
If a league organizer adds you to a roster or invites you by phone number or email address, we receive that contact information from them. Organizers are responsible for having your permission to provide it to us. See Section 4 (Text Messaging) for how those invitations work and how to opt out.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and manage accounts and player profiles.
- To operate leagues, sessions, schedules, scoring, standings, and statistics.
- To send transactional messages — league invitations, RSVP requests, and schedule updates.
- To process payments for league registration and platform fees.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and availability of the Service.
3. Text Messaging (SMS) Program
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
What the program does
VantagePoint sends transactional text messages related to league participation. These are not marketing or promotional messages. Message types include:
- League or session invitations with a sign-up link.
- RSVP requests asking you to confirm or decline attendance for a match day.
- Schedule or match-day changes for leagues you belong to.
How you opt in
You consent to receive text messages when you:
- Provide your mobile number and check the SMS consent box on a registration or join form; or
- Provide your mobile number to a league organizer, who represents that they have your permission to invite you.
Consent is never a condition of purchase. You can use the Service without agreeing to receive text messages.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies based on how many leagues and sessions you join — typically 1–3 messages per event, and generally no more than 10 messages per month per league. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
How to opt out or get help
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive a single confirmation and no further text messages.
Reply HELP for assistance, or email us at the address in Section 11.
You can also opt out at any time by turning off SMS notifications in your account settings, or by asking the league organizer who invited you to remove your number.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Opt-out requests are honored within a reasonable time and may not apply to messages already in transit.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
| Recipient | Purpose |

| Messaging provider | To deliver the text messages you have consented to receive. |
| Email provider | To deliver transactional emails such as invitations and RSVP links. |
| Payment processor | To process payments and manage subscriptions. |
| Cloud hosting / database | To store and serve application data securely. |
These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information while your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Match and standings history may be retained in aggregate form.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and role-based permissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and correction — view and update your profile information in account settings.
- SMS opt-out — reply STOP to any text message, or disable SMS notifications in settings.
- Email opt-out — disable email notifications in settings. We may still send essential account emails.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know, access, correct, or delete personal information. We do not sell personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
8. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser local storage to remember your display theme preference and to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for use by adults and league organizers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes their child has provided information to us should contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to This Policy
